What is FACSA?
The Florida Association of Charter School Authorizers (FACSA) is a membership organization for charter school authorizers dedicated to promoting the principles and standards of high quality charter school authorizing.
Who belongs to FACSA?
Authorizers come from a variety of backgrounds and serve anywhere from a single charter school in a district to large authorizers that serve ten or more charter schools in the district. Of the 50 largest authorizers in the nation, 7 are found in Florida.
Why should I join FACSA?
- Members will become part of a network of authorizers who work collaboratively to discuss trends, issues and best practices in charter school education.
- Members will articulate with professionals who function as authorizers to track current trends in charter school authorizing.
- Members will be eligible to attend a minimum of six meetings a year, where you will have a voice to discuss timely issues that affect charter schools, such as applications, renewals, legislative topics, and more.
- Members will learn to communicate with local representatives and legislators to move charter school legislation forward.
If your district would like to become a FACSA member, please complete the Membership Form and submit to Jeannette Merced, Treasurer (address provided on form).
